Where do I submit my articles?
So you have your article ready and you want to submit it. Before you go
crazy, please understand that each of these sites comes with their own set
of rules. You have to understand what their rules are in order for your
article to be accepted. Most sites will accept most articles but you want to
check their guidelines to make sure you are doing it right.
I know, more reading. These are pretty fast reads. It's not like 'terms
and conditions' and all that boring legal stuff. Just make sure you do like
they ask and you will be fine. The first time I submitted an article,
I jumped in with both feet and didn't worry about any stupid rules. Over
half of my articles were rejected simply because I didn't put my bio in the
right place or had my link listed wrong. I fixed the problem and
re-submitted but that was a waste of 2 hours I'll never get back. Just read
the guidelines and don't worry about the re-submit. Learn from my mistake.
Some of these directories will only take articles on certain subjects. Make
sure you don't submit your article on combustion engines to the Ultimate
Health Directory.

These are not in any particular order. Pick the ones you like best or
pick them all. The more times you get your article seen, the better it will
circulate. Circulation = Traffic
If you would like to use software to submit your articles, I have the
best software available for this job. You can get it here.
About yahoo groups etc. I tried using these types of groups for my
articles and found them to be a huge waste of time. I alter my article
titles and landing URL for testing different submissions so I know if I am
getting any response from a certain submission or type of submission. I
tested several articles in 25 different groups for over a month and got zero
response from them. Don't waste your time.
About titles. Before you submit your article to any place, do a search
for your title on Google. Put your title in quotes, "My Article", and
search. If there are more than 10 listings that come up, change your title.
You will easily be able to track your articles this way. Try to write
unusual titles to catch your readers attention and for useful tracking.
About landing pages. Google and some of the other big search engines
frown on landing pages if you have several pages with the same content but
different URL's. You can easily get around this by using several different
pages for landing pages. Different pages meaning different content.
When I am testing articles, I will use the actual article page for one
URL and my article archives page for another URL. Several of my articles are
actually from pages on my site so there is a third page. All three pages
have some different content so all can be used as landing pages without
getting Google mad at me.
