Write and Submit Articles for Traffic
How does writing articles get you traffic?
This is the single most important thing you can do to get traffic to your
website. Pay close attention. It ties in with RSS feeds and you will not believe the potential
until you try it yourself. WOW is not a good enough expression for
the results you will see.
What am I talking about? There are many people out there that are too
lazy to write their own site content. They are your competition, by the way.
They search the free article sites all the time to find relevant information
to put on their websites. They don't want to write anything of their own so
they just take your articles and use them for site content.
So why would you want to help them? You aren't really going to help them,
they are going to help you, they just don't know it because they didn't read
this. They already knew everything they needed to know. You will soon be
loving them.
Here's how it works:
You write your article, a really good, informative article about your
subject. You submit your article to the
'free article directories'. The
lazy website owners find your article and put it on their website. You want
this to happen, trust me. You see, according to the rules of the free
article site, they have to include your name as the author and a link back
to your site.
Let me say that again, A LINK BACK TO YOUR SITE!!!
You don't have to link to them. They just have to link to you. The search
engines love these types of links. It will show the search engines that your
site is important. The more links to your site you get, the more important
the engines will believe your site to be. You will become an authority on
your subject and you will get very high rankings.
Once a search engine regards your site as an authority, it will send
many, many visitors your way. This process does not take months to get
going. If you write and submit an article today, don't do it yet if your
sites not live, you will get traffic from it tomorrow. If you write and
submit an article a day on your sites subject, you will probably find
yourself on Google's first page by the end of the week.
Please remember, the article has to be good. It has to be on the subject
of your website. It has to be interesting enough that people will want to
know more. You can do this, I know you can.
So how does this all work?
First and foremost, all the links back to your site are going to get the
search engines excited about you.
The lasting effect is even more exciting.
Once you are on several other websites, and this will only take a couple
days, you will start to see a lot more traffic. If a website only gets 5
visitors a day and 3 of them click on the link to your website, there are
three free visitors that you didn't have to work for. (I know you think
writing that article was work but considering the benefits, it's not really
work.)
Ok, now let's say 10 people pick up your article. 30 new visitors. 20
people pick up your article. 60 new visitors? Now write 5 more articles.
What do we have here? Hmmmm?
Can you see where this will take you? This is traffic heaven my friend.
Think of the possibilities. If you write an article a week. Where will
you be in 10 weeks? I should mention here, that not all the websites that
pick up your article will be from lazy website owners. If you write good,
riveting articles, you will get picked up by many important websites as
well.
No one has the time or desire to write 6 or 7 new articles a day but
website owners want new content to keep their sites interesting. If your
articles are good, they will pick yours. Now your back link is on the
websites that get thousands of visitors a day. Holy Smokes!
Now you are seeing the big picture.
But wait... there's more. Most of these websites will keep your article
around forever. Maybe it will eventually get stuck in some archive file but
that's OK. It's the back link that you were going for in the first place. As
long as your article is somewhere on their website, you still have the back
link.
To summarize, this is the single most important thing you can do to get
your website on a strong footing right from the start. It will only get
better. The snow ball effect is working to your advantage here. Write and
write and write some more.
So with all this article linking, why do you need reciprocal links?
Mainly because you are providing another service to your customers. Maybe
they didn't find what they were looking for on your site, if you offer a
place for them to find the information without having to go search again,
they will appreciate that and they may remember your site as a good place to
find all the information they need.
Most web surfers don't understand all the mechanics behind the web. They
don't realize when they left one site and went to another. If they click on
a link on your site, they think they are still on your site. So they
eventually find what they need and all they remember is they found it on
www.computers.com. They tell their friends about how informative your site
is and their friends come to you for information and hopefully they will
spend money.
The bottom line is, you can't have too many links going to your website.
As long as they are relevant links about your subject matter. You are
probably tired of hearing that but if you start taking any old links, you
are doomed. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. And in the case of
the world wide web, doing it wrong could cost you years trying to fix it.
Don't try to kid yourself by thinking that hearing aids are sort of like
electronics. They aren't and you know it. You will flush your whole website
down the toilet if you start trying to rationalize links that you know don't
fit.
